The approval process:

AAA "Approved Auto Repair" (AAR) facilities have to pass an initial inspection by AAA automotive specialists. Appearance, scope of services performed, adequate insurance, credit history, BBB reports, equipment, and technician certification are all verified. In addition, AAA surveys 200 past customers selected randomly. A minimum 90% positive response is required before approval. Once "approved", AAR facilities agree to specific terms including 12/12 guarantee, and AAA mediation between a AAA member and the facility in any dispute. Each facility is inspected annually to make sure they are keeping up with appearance, technology, equipment, certifications and customer satisfaction.
